Abstract

본 발명은 신규의 겔화제, 이를 포함하는 겔액정, 및 상기 겔액정을 함유하는 액정 소자에 관한 것으로서, 구체적으로 상기 신규의 겔화제는 실란과 아마이드 구조를 포함한다. 상기와 같이, 실란과 아마이드 구조를 포함하는 신규의 겔화제를 포함하는 겔액정은 구성물질 서로 간의 상용성이 우수하고, 겔액정 제조시 안정성 및 용해도가 뛰어나 적용 가능성이 보다 큰 액정 소자를 제공할 수 있다.
