Abstract

The invention relates to a method for operating an air conditioner, and to an air conditioner (1) for conditioning, i.e. cooling and/or heating, multiple fluids, comprising at least one compressor (10), at least three heat exchangers, and at least one expansion member (15), wherein the compressor (10), the heat exchangers and the expansion member (15) are connected by a pressure line and form a complete working fluid circuit, and switching means and/or control means (17a to 17d). A first heat exchanger (11) is provided for the heat exchange between a working fluid and a first fluid to be conditioned, which flows in a second fluid circuit. At least one second heat exchanger (13) is provided for the heat exchange between the working fluid and a second fluid to be conditioned, and at least one further heat exchanger (12) is provided for the heat exchange between the working fluid and a third fluid, which serves as the heat source or the heat sink. The sequence of flow of working fluid through the heat exchangers is determined as a function of the operating mode by the switching means (16a, 16b, 20a, 20b) and/or control means (17a to 17d), wherein the heat exchanger (11) with the first fluid to be conditioned is always disposed upstream from the remaining heat exchangers (13) of the other fluids to be conditioned. The expansion member (15) regulates the overheating of the working fluid in the low-pressure section.
