Abstract

본 발명은 데이터 입력장치에 관한 것으로서, 전자장치용 단말기에서의 소정의 감지영역을 구비하는 데이터 입력장치에 있어서, 상기 감지영역에 대한 손가락의 접촉에 의해 생성되고 접촉이 해제되면 소멸하는 기준위치와 상기 생성된 기준위치를 중심으로 방사상 배치되는 복수의 지시위치에 대한 손가락의 이동방향 및 가압각도를 감지하여 상기 이동방향 및 가압각도에 대응하는 입력신호를 발생하는 감지입력부; 및 상기 입력신호로부터 손가락의 이동방향 및 가압각도를 판단하여 해당 이동방향 및 가압각도에 할당된 데이터를 메모리부로부터 추출하여 입력하는 제어부;를 포함한다. 본 발명에 따르면, 감지영역의 임의의 지점에 대해서도 손가락의 방향이동이나 가압각도를 조절하여 데이터를 연속적으로 입력할 수 있어, 사용자의 입력 이해도가 증가되어 숙달이 용이할 뿐 아니라 입력 정확도가 향상되는 효과가 있다.
