  • the pressure of the fuel inside the cylinder is more than 2000 bar. Consequently, the fuel contained inside the chamber has a low cooling capacity and, at the same time, a low lubricating capacity.

  • Each pumping member 4 is defined by a cylinder 9 inside which a piston 10 slides with a reciprocating movement.
  • Each cylinder 9 communicates with the feed circuit 6 via a feed valve 11 and communicates with the delivery circuit 7 via a delivery valve 12.

  • the actuating mechanism 14 is housed inside a chamber 18 formed in the pump body 2 which comprises a hole 19 inside which a bearing 20, in particular a friction bearing, is force-fitted, said bearing having the function of supporting, at least partly, the shaft 13 as illustrated more clearly in Figure 2.
  • the feed circuit 5 extends, partly, inside the pump body 2, partly over a flange 21 which is connected to the pump body 2 and forms an integral part of the high-pressure pump 2, and, partly, along pipes.

Abstract

L'invention porte sur un procédé pour distribuer du carburant à un moteur à combustion interne, lequel procédé comprend la distribution du carburant à au moins un élément de pompage (4) d'une pompe haute pression (2) par l'intermédiaire d'une première ramification (27) d'un circuit de distribution (5) ; la distribution d'une partie du carburant à une chambre (18) de la pompe haute pression (2) contenant un mécanisme (14) destiné à actionner l'élément de pompage (4) par l'intermédiaire d'une seconde ramification (28) du circuit de distribution (5) ; et la distribution d'une partie du carburant à un palier (20) supportant le mécanisme d'actionnement (14) par l'intermédiaire d'une troisième ramification (32) du circuit de distribution (5) de façon à refroidir le palier (20).
