Abstract

The invention relates to a connection module for telecommunications and data engineering with a module housing (4) which contains, for the purpose of connecting wires (5) on a cable side to wires (6) on a routing block side, contact elements (7) arranged such that terminal strips (8a, 8b) extending on two mutually remote longitudinal faces (2a, 2b) of the module housing (4) are formed. In order to have a connection module (1) available which, when the space provided is restricted, achieves a relatively high wiring density by virtue of a safe wiring process, the invention provides for the module housing (4) in this connection module (1) to have, in a region of its longitudinal extent, at least one guide means (9, 13) which guides a plurality of wires (5, 6) from at least one of the sides such that the wires (5, 6) from both sides are guided to their associated terminal sides (8a, 8b) on the same lateral face (cf. figure 1).
