Abstract

The invention relates to a process for manufacturing a slag activator characterized in that it consists in treating, via thermolysis, a mixture of rubber waste (B) and of a magnesium compound (A) brought to a temperature between 350°C and 700°C, then in screening the product obtained (m) in order to extract the metallic residues therefrom and to obtain a slag activator (n) in powder form. The invention also relates to the plants for implementing the process and preferably finds its application in the recycling of used tyres.
