  • the present invention relates generally to gaming, and more particularly to online gaming odds comparison shopping.
  • Sports betting is done world wide in which a wagerer will play a bet on a sporting event as to who will win, who will lose, or will do so with a certain number of points, for instance.
  • a wagerer may also hedge bets so as to cover a bet with a second bet, so as to reduce a loss or multiple winnings. Stated otherwise, the wagerer may bet the opposite of their original wager in order to reduce the amount of action that the wagerer you has on the gaming event.
  • the odds given for each such wager is typically made by a handicapper who sports and predicts outcomes of the gaming event.
  • a bookmaker takes bets from wagers in return for a 'hold', which is the percentage the bookmaker wins.
  • the bookmaker's 'juice' is their commission on taking and settlement bets between wagerers, also known as the vigorish or 'vig'. Every game of chance offers the bookmaker a certain statistical advantage or margin to make a profit from making book. Abstract

Une page Web affiche les cotes d’un bookmaker pour un jeu donné, avec les prix correspondants, afin de faire une mise auprès du bookmaker. Ces informations sont également affichées pour chacun de plusieurs bookmakers différents et sans relation les uns avec les autres, ce qui permet ainsi à l'utilisateur de la page Web de comparer les meilleures cotes sur un jeu particulier proposé par l’un des bookmakers affichés. Une interface utilisateur interactive d’un client de la page Web envoie, et un service Web reçoit, la sélection par l’utilisateur de la meilleure des cotes affichées proposées par l’un des bookmakers. L’utilisateur paie au bookmaker choisi le prix affiché en échange de la mise. La mise est payée au bookmaker choisi en effectuant le paiement à partir d’un compte de transactions financières mis à disposition de l’utilisateur.
