Abstract

This portable device (10) for sharpening the edges (30) of a ski (29) is made up of: a carriage (15) fitted with first and second means (25) for bearing on the ski (29) in lateral and transverse directions (D4, D5); and a support (16) mounted on the carriage (15) comprising means (18, 19) for attaching a machining assembly (12). The attachment means enable the machining assembly (12) to be translated relative to the support (16) in a first adjustment direction (D1) which is contained within a lateral-transverse plane. The means (20, 21) of connection between the carriage (15) and the support (16) allow, on the one hand, a pivoting of the support (16) through 90 degrees about a pivot axis (Y) oriented in a longitudinal direction (D3) perpendicular to the lateral-transverse plane, and, on the other hand, a translation of the support (16) in a second adjustment direction (D2) contained in the lateral-transverse plane and perpendicular to the first adjustment direction (D1).
