Abstract

주파수 영역에서 레지듀얼 블록의 양자화에 의한 손실을 보상함으로써 영상의 압축 효율을 향상시키는 영상의 부호화 방법 및 장치, 그 복호화 방법 및 장치가 개시된다. 본 발명에 따른 영상 부호화 방법은 현재 매크로블록에 대한 예측 매크로블록을 생성하고, 예측 매크로블록과 현재 매크로블록 사이의 차이인 제 1 레지듀얼 블록을 생성하고, 주파수 영역에서 제 1 레지듀얼 블록에 대한 양자화 손실을 보상하여 보상 레지듀얼 블록을 생성한 다음, 보상 레지듀얼 블록과 예측 매크로블록을 가산하여 예측 매크로블록을 보상하는 데에 특징이 있다.
