Definitions
- the main object of the present invention is to provide an autonomous mobile alarm system against theft, fire or other eventualities, which can be arranged anywhere and that warns by sending messages or calls to the user of the device.
- Alarm systems have been known for a long time and are frequently installed in enclosures such as offices, shops, portals, etc. These alarms are normally designed to detect any potential danger, such as excessive heat, which could indicate the presence of a fire, movements, which could indicate the entrance to the premises of unauthorized persons, etc.
- these alarm devices have two serious drawbacks.
- the existing alarm systems give the alarm normally by means of some strident sound that is heard in several tens or hundreds of meters round. In case the user of the alarm system is not in the surroundings, the alarm will pass unnoticed
- the alarm device sends a warning to a central located in another place in which employees of specialized companies continuously monitor the status of the alarms.
- the high cost of this option Ia usually makes it inaccessible to individuals, being normally used by businesses such as shops, banks, bars, etc.
- the autonomous mobile alarm system of the invention solves the problems described above, in addition to providing new functions. It is a system that is based on the use of mobile telephony to communicate directly to the user the status of the alarm, so that the user is continuously informed regardless of where they are.
- autonomous refers to the fact that the system of the invention does not require installation, that is, it does not need to be connected to any cable, nor fixed to any construction element, such as walls or ceilings, nor the intervention of qualified personnel for initialization or commissioning.
- the autonomous mobile alarm system comprises a detection and communication device and a mobile user terminal, which are described in greater detail below:
- the function of the detection and communication device is to detect events that occur around them and communicate them to the user.
- event any circumstance that the detection and communication device can detect through a sensor or set of sensors available to it.
- an event can be an excessive rise in temperature, the presence of smoke, Ia detection of a movement, a modification in ambient humidity, etc.
- the detection and communication device is formed by a set of sensors, an electronic board and a mobile surveillance terminal coupled together forming a single piece.
- An important advantage of the invention is that, according to a particular embodiment of the invention, the detection and communication device does not require any installation, that is, it is sufficient that the user places it in the place about which he wishes to be informed and I activated it. According to another particular embodiment of the invention, all the elements that form a detection and communication device receive the electrical power supply from the battery of the mobile surveillance terminal.
- the detection and communication device comprises sensors that monitor the surroundings and, if any change is detected, sends the pertinent information to the mobile user terminal.
- the user could place the device in his house or his business when he is absent, under the seat of his car when he parks it, etc., changing it as he needs it.
- a set of sensors Its function is to detect events that occur in the vicinity and send signals indicative of these events. It could be, according to preferred embodiments of the invention, presence sensors, motion sensors, temperature sensors, light intensity sensors, humidity sensors, sound sensors, air composition sensors, and in general any sensor that can provide useful information to the user.
- An electronic board It is connected to the sensor set and the mobile surveillance terminal, so that it receives signals indicative of the events from the sensors and communicates them to the mobile surveillance terminal. That is, it fulfills an interface function between them, modifying or processing the sensor signals to adapt them to the format required by the mobile surveillance terminal.
- a mobile surveillance terminal receives the signals indicative of the events from the electronic board and sends information about said events to a mobile user terminal. It is a conventional mobile terminal with its conveniently modified hardware and software.
- the sending of information about the events can be carried out by means of calls, SMS, MMS, emails, voice messages, or any other means supported by a conventional mobile phone.
- a mobile user terminal which receives the information from the detection and communication device about the events through the means conventionally supported by a conventional mobile phone, such as calls, SMS, MMS, emails, voice messages.
- the mobile surveillance terminal comprises a digital video camera and / or a photo camera.
- the information indicative of the events can include the sending by the mobile terminal of surveillance of photos and / or videos in real time.
- the communication between the mobile surveillance terminal and the mobile user terminal is not limited to sending information from the first to the second when an event occurs, but the mobile user terminal can send orders to the mobile terminal of surveillance.
- the mobile user terminal may request real-time images and / or videos from the mobile surveillance terminal to occur in the place where the detection and communication device is located. This system could be used to monitor, for example, if there is someone in the user's office or if their employees have gone out to eat. Alarm function of the detection and communication device could also be connected or disconnected
- Figure 1. Shows a general scheme of the autonomous mobile alarm system of the invention.
- FIG. 1 Shows in detail the front face of the mobile surveillance terminal, where the sensors are appreciated.
- FIG. 3 Shows in detail the rear face of the mobile surveillance terminal, where the electronic board and the sensors are appreciated. PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
- the mobile surveillance terminal (4) is a conventional mobile phone with a 2 megapixel camera and the sensor set (6) comprises two sensors: a presence detector (8) and a temperature probe (7). Then turn on the mobile monitoring terminal (4) in the conventional way.
- the user sends an SMS from his mobile phone (2) with an alarm connection code.
- the SMS simply consists of the word "alarm”.
- the autonomous mobile alarm system (1) is configured, and the mobile terminal (2) from which the service was activated automatically becomes the mobile user terminal (2), to which the Ia will be sent information related to the events that occur in the surroundings of the detection and communication device (3).
- the user decides to check the status of his office (9) and sends an SMS to the mobile surveillance terminal (4) requesting the sending of an image in real time.
- the text of the SMS is "image”.
- the mobile surveillance terminal (4) takes an image with the 2 megapixel camera of the user's office (9) and sends it to the mobile user terminal (2), which verifies that everything is running well.
- the user receives an SMS with the word "movement", which indicates that the presence detector (8) has detected the presence of a person or animal in the vicinity of the detection and communication device (3). Alarmed, the user responds quickly with an SMS requesting the sending of a video in real time.
- the code in this case is "video”. The video he receives reassures him, since it is only an employee working after hours.
