Abstract
본 발명은 레이저 씨드광(laser seed lightwave) 기반의 WDM-PON(Wavelength Division Multiplexing-Passive Optical Network, 파장 분할 다중화 수동형 광 네트워크)에서의 광 검출 장치 및 그 방법에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 씨드광과 상향 신호광 간의 위상 및 편광을 실시간으로 제어하여 해당 전기신호를 검출하거나[제1 실시예], 씨드광과 상향 신호광 간의 위상만을 실시간으로 제어하여 해당 전기신호를 검출하거나[제2 실시예], 씨드광과 상향 신호광 간의 위상 및 편광을 실시간으로 제어하지 않고서 해당 전기신호를 검출하는[제3 실시예], WDM-PON에서의 광 검출 장치 및 그 방법을 제공하고자 한다. 이를 위하여, 본 발명은, 광 검출 장치에 있어서, 씨드광을 분배하고, 상기 씨드광을 기반으로 가입자 장치에서 생성된 상향 신호광을 분배하기 위한 광분배 수단; 상기 분배된 씨드광에 대해 수평편광을 조정하기 위한 수평편광 조정기; 상기 분배된 씨드광에 대해 수직편광을 조정하기 위한 수직편광 조정기; 전기신호를 기반으로, 상기 수평편광이 조정된 씨드광의 위상을 제어하고 상기 수직편광이 조정된 씨드광의 위상을 제어하기 위한 제어수단; 상기 수평편광과 위상이 조정된 씨드광 및 상기 수직편광과 위상이 조정된 씨드광과 상기 분배된 상향 신호광을 각각 결합하여 전기신호로 변환하여 상기 제어수단으로 전달하기 위한 광결합 및 신호변환 수단; 및 상기 변환된 전기신호를 기반으로 상기 상향 신호광에 해당되는 상향신호를 검출하기 위한 신호 검출 수단을 포함한다.
