Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé de purification d'un gaz naturel comportant les étapes suivantes: a) on purifie ledit gaz par adsorption des mercaptans légers par mise en contact avec un matériau adsorbant, b) on mélange un effluent gazeux avec un agent de déplacement hydrocarbure, c) on fait passer à travers le matériau adsorbant, chargé en mercaptans, le mélange obtenu à l'étape b), la quantité d'agent de déplacement introduite dans le matériau adsorbant étant inférieure ou égale à 50 % en masse de la capacité maximale d'adsorption de l'agent de déplacement sur le matériau adsorbant, d) on réalise une désorption thermique, en utilisant un gaz de purge, de l'agent de déplacement hydrocarbure introduit à l'étape c), e) on refroidit le matériau adsorbant à l'aide d'un autre effluent gazeux ou directement à l'aide du gaz à purifier.
