Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method for the automatic generation of address book entries of an electronic address book, wherein the method is triggered by a communication event within a telecommunications network, wherein the communication event emanating from a first communication terminal, and an identifier of the first communication terminal is detected.
- Electronic address books are used today in many fixed and mobile terminals for telecommunications, for example in mobile phones, smart phones, organizers such as PDAs (Personal Digital Assistant), but also in landline telephones, e-mail or organization programs on the mobile or local computer.
- the problem with such address books is that the user himself, i. to manually create the entries and thus gradually fill it with information. Furthermore, he is responsible for maintaining and updating the address book entries.
- the user is prompted to provide himself or herself with the information required, for example by inquiring about the person for whom the address book entry is to be created, or by viewing publicly available directories. This is extremely time consuming and the input of the data in the address book tedious and annoying.
- address books of different devices and software are often not synchronized with each other. It is not uncommon for these address books to be reconciled, for example in the landline telephone, in the mobile telephone, in the e-mail program and / or in the organizational software.
- the invention is therefore an object of the invention to provide a method that makes an automatic generation of records for an electronic address book with useful information for the user on the contact to be recorded with the address book entry, so that the address book user no compelling necessary action on the record more.
- a method for the automatic generation of address book entries of an electronic address book is proposed, the method being triggered by a communication event within a telecommunication network, the communication event starting from a first communication terminal and an identifier of the first communication terminal comprising at least the steps: Performing a basic search using the identifier for basic information associated with the identifier,
- the telecommunications network can be any network for communication or data exchange which is set up for the transmission of voice, video or general data.
- the telecommunications network is a wired telephone network, a cellular mobile network or a computer network such as the Internet.
- the network is expected to be used by subscribers who can communicate verbally, textually, or visually with one another, or generally exchange data using appropriate communication terminals such as mobile phones, computers, etc.
- the communication event is therefore an initiative of a participant to transmit information to another participant.
- the communication event can therefore be a call or an electronic message, whereby an electronic message can be, for example, an e-mail, SMS or MMS or also an instant message from an instant messenger.
- the event may be incoming to a first party or outgoing to a second party.
- the identifiers of all outgoing and incoming "communication links" are thus used for the generation of entries.
- the identifiers entered by himself, in the case of incoming communication all sender identifications.
- the communication event that triggers the process may be a landline or mobile telephone call or call attempt, or it may be a text message or an electronic message or the like.
- At least one identifier i. an identifier used that uniquely identifies one of the two participants or at least the communication terminal used. If, for example, a telephone call is made, an electronic short message or an e-mail is sent, a sender and an addressee are required, both by a telephone number, mobile phone number, e-mail address or, in the case of subscribers of an instant message, their particular user name of any structure within the messaging community are identifiable.
- identifiers are telephone numbers, i. Fixed or mobile numbers, and / or e-mail addresses.
- the International Telecommunication Numbering Plan E.164
- the Mobile Subscriber Integrated Services Digital Network Number MSISDN
- E.164 the International Telecommunication Numbering Plan
- MSISDN Mobile Subscriber Integrated Services Digital Network Number
- the MSISDN is a globally unique mobile phone number and is made up of the Country Code (CC), National Destination Code (NDC) and Subscriber It is also possible to use the IMEI, the "International Mobile Equipment Identity", a unique mobile terminal device number, as the identifier.
- the identifier ie the identifier can be determined according to which communication medium a subscriber is currently using. For example, if a mobile phone is used, the destination number of a call can be used as an identifier, and an address book entry is made for the subscriber based on this identifier. If, on the other hand, the subscriber uses an e-mail for communication at another time, the recipient e-mail address can serve as the identifier and an address book entry is made on this basis. In this way, various communication media can be used, each of which can lead to address book entries for the subscriber.
- the inventive method is therefore universal, versatile and used by the Communication medium independent.
- the sender address or, in the case of a call can be the basis for an address book entry on the recipient's side. Since different identifiers can lead to a communication partner, eg several telephone numbers, different e-mail addresses and other logical addresses, these should be summarized in the address book by the correlation of the information from the automatic search.
- the identifier of the addressed subscriber can be used to generate an address book entry for the subscriber initiating the communication event, and vice versa.
- the sender of the communication event i. the initiating subscriber
- an identifier by the address (phone number or e-mail address or the like.) Of this subscriber is transmitted in the network.
- the sender's e-mail address is always sent to the recipient.
- the phone number of the caller / sender can also be transmitted to the recipient.
- the identifier i. the identifier of the sending subscriber can be used to generate an address book entry for the receiving subscriber.
- the storage can be in a list, in the case of a telephone number as an identifier, in particular in a telephone list, which is assigned to the subscriber individually.
- a base search is carried out for basic information associated with the identifier, i. that the use of the identifier is used to search for information related to the identifier, ie for information associated with the identifier.
- the participant can specify what kind of basic information should be and what scope they should have.
- type it is possible, for example, to specify whether private and / or business information, landline, mobile phone, fax number, address and / or e-mail address, the latter data, if appropriate, are to be searched privately and / or commercially.
- the scope of the basic information can also be determined by specifying it on a specific number of pieces of information.
- the basic information comprises at least the name and / or the address of the person to whom the identifier can be assigned, i. the first participant.
- search parameters and / or scope of the basic search can also be selected or defined. For example, it is possible to specify where and how extensive information should be searched for. For example, a restriction of the base search to a limited definable time period or to certain specifiable directories or registers. Furthermore, abort criteria for the search can be defined so that it does not collect unnecessary resources of the system.
- the search can be performed in a series of directories and registers that are accessible on the Internet and / or in databases directly or via a computer network such as the Internet.
- a very quick and easy basic search can be achieved by using it in digital public directories.
- Such directories may be, for example, telephone directories or directories.
- this is applied a backward search based on the detected identifier of the first subscriber. This leads, for example, starting from a telephone number as an identifier to one of the number assignable name and an address. This name and address are then basic information associated with the identifier that can be used to create a record for the address book of the second party.
- the search strategy of the method can be described as follows: the more the system finds information, the more it tries to find out.
- the basic research can therefore immediately follow an extended search, which provides further information about the first participant on the basis of already determined information.
- This detailed information can be of any type, for example information that has not yet been determined in the basic search, in particular business and / or private data such as birthday and place, hobbies, etc. of the first participant. Also publications or presentations of the participant or references to such can be considered in the detail search.
- the extended search is carried out in online search engines via the Internet.
- the supplementary information thus found can be used to supplement the data set and evaluated.
- web pages or, for example, communication platforms may be searched on the Internet, where the members of the platforms store profiles and contact details so that they can be found and contacted by other members within the platform.
- the second participant can select what type and extent to which the detailed information should have, as well as search parameters, Specify particular termination criteria, and / or limit the scope of the extended search in terms of time and / or content.
- the detail search can be followed by a filtering of the detailed information found.
- the detailed information can then be checked to see if they match the identifier.
- probability values can be used and assigned to the individual information.
- the filtering can be carried out in a comparison of the information with each other, an analysis for relevance, timeliness or plausibility, whereby redundant, obsolete or incorrect information can be extracted from the determined amount of data. This ensures a particularly high level of reliability of the detailed information.
- the base search can already be so extensively configured by the parameter that can be defined by the subscriber and the type and scope of the basic information that it already contains the recursive search, in which case the filtering according to the invention can follow the basic search, so that the execution an extended search is unnecessary.
- All settings concerning the basic search and the detailed search can be set once prior to the use of the network service for the automatic generation of address book entries, in particular when it is commissioned. Alternatively or additionally, subsequent changes to the settings can be made.
- the network provider can provide, for example, a portal via the Internet as an access, via which the subscriber receives access to the settings and can change them.
- the second participant can continue to be notified by the method according to the invention after the creation of the record on the creation. This can be done for example by an electronic short message or an e-mail.
- the address book can be arranged within the telecommunications network, ie the network side. It can then be called a network address book, which is provided by the provider of the Telecommunications network is made available. Alternatively or in combination, the address book can also be present in a local or mobile terminal (CPE, Customer Premises Equipment) of the subscriber, ie subscriber-side or device-side. This may, for example, be a mobile telephone or other mobile terminal, landline telephone, PDA, or local or portable computer. In this case, the data record can be transmitted to the terminal via the telecommunication network. Furthermore, the second participant can also be notified of the entry after the entry of the data record. This can be done for example by an electronic short message or an e-mail.
- CPE Customer Premises Equipment
- the network functionality of the automatic generation of address book entries only after the activation of this service. It can therefore be provided before or after the identifier detection that a check takes place, whether the second subscriber has commissioned the network service for the automatic generation of address book entries, wherein the inventive method is performed when a commission of the network service can be confirmed.
- a check can be made as to whether a data record already exists in the address book for the identifier. This can be done by comparing the detected identifier with the identifiers stored in the list. Alternatively or additionally, a comparison of the ascertained information with the data records already entered in the address book can also take place after the basic search, ie if at least one name has been assigned to the identifier. This has the advantage that compared to the first check, even with different identifier types, for example telephone number and e-mail address belonging to the same subscriber, matches can be detected. If it is detected that a record already exists for an identifier, the method can be aborted so that existing entries remain unchanged.
- the subscriber can also specify that the method should nevertheless be carried out so that, if necessary, new information about the identifier can be collected and the existing address book entry can be supplemented.
- the already existing information of the address book entry can be used for this search.
- a new record can be created that replaces or supplements the old address book entry.
- the automatic address book is always up-to-date and manual maintenance and updating of the entries by the user is no longer necessary.
- a replacement of existing address book entries takes place after a definable age thereof, for example after one year. In this way it is possible to keep the automatic address book up-to-date while at the same time minimizing the load on the system.
- Both the base search and the advanced search can be viewed online, i. during the existence of the communication connection, or offline, i. After completion of the communication connection in the background, be performed. Furthermore, the respective search can also be started during the communication connection and then completed in the background.
- the digital address book can be designed such that its entries can be sorted alphabetically, according to contact frequency or according to the importance of the information contained in them by the subscriber and the sorting method can also be selected by the subscriber. It can thus be customized, with the user, for example, can also pretend which information is particularly important for him and should therefore be apparent at first glance. Thus, for example, it can be selected whether only the basic information about an address book entry or information as contained on a business card should be displayed, or whether a full representation of all detailed information is to take place. Sorting by contact frequency allows contact entries for people who are frequently contacted to be directly displayed to the user.
- the network address book via a computer network such as the Internet, in particular via a so-called web front end, is accessible.
- the network address book can be set up and managed using a browser, so that all settings can be made easily and conveniently. Furthermore, it can also be provided that all the functionalities of the method according to the invention, in particular the specification and setting of parameters, as well as the type and scope of the searches and the information to be determined in the basic search and / or search for details, in the address book configurable via the Internet by means of browser can be adjusted.
- the network address book can be synchronized with an address book on a mobile or local terminal of the subscriber.
- This may, for example, be a mobile telephone or other mobile terminal, a landline telephone, a PDA, or a local or portable computer.
- This offers the advantage that a current and adjusted version of the address book is always available if the network address book should not be reachable.
- the present invention furthermore proposes a computer program for carrying out the method according to the invention.
- FIG. 1 shows a schematic representation of the structure of the system according to the invention as well as a first subscriber, which is assigned an identifier A, and a second user, to which an address B within a telecommunication network is assigned as identifier.
- a communication event in the form of a telephone call, wherein the address A and B is each formed by a telephone number that uniquely identifies the respective subscriber or the communication terminal used in the network, so that these identifiers (IDs), ie the identifiers of the two participants or the represent used communication terminals.
- IDs identifiers
- the two IDs A and B are detected and transmitted to an automatic address book (AAB) system, which has a device for generating a data record for an address book and a device for determining information to be assembled in the data record.
- AAB automatic address book
- the latter performs a search for information related to the detected IDs.
- the search is carried out on the Internet in publicly available sources of information.
- AAB database automatic address book database
- IDs including ascertained information associated with the ID (identifier) are assigned to each subscriber. are stored or contained.
- AAB database For the sake of simplicity, only one AAB database is shown in FIG.
- a data record is generated by the AAB system and stored in the AAB database.
- the electronic address book is available to the respective subscriber via the Internet.
- the database contains information that can be displayed in a browser as address book entries.
- the method according to the invention makes it possible to fill an electronic address book with entries without any user input.
