Description
Description
AN OVEN
[0001] The present invention relates to an oven wherein an electric heater is mounted under the oven casing.
[0002] In ovens, an oven casing is provided wherein the cooking process is performed and which is mounted into the oven main body leaving an insulating space. The cooking chamber is generally produced of steel sheet material and coated by enamel. Heater elements, for example electric-powered resistance heaters, are disposed under the cooking chamber base wall, being supported by a heater tray. In the ovens wherein pyrolytic cleaning method is used, the cleaning process is performed in the inner volume of the cooking chamber and when the heaters reach high temperatures, damage occurs in the enamel coating of the cooking chamber, reducing the lifespan of the oven. In order to prevent the damage from occurring in the enamel coating, heater elements are mounted to the walls of the cooking chamber without contacting there. In ovens wherein the heaters are placed at the lower side, the heaters are mounted such that a certain distance with the base wall of the cooking chamber remains, and do not contact the base wall by being disposed on a carrier tray, however at high temperatures, neither the base wall of the cooking chamber nor the heater tray can be prevented from being deformed by expanding, as a result of this deformation, the heater contacts the cooking chamber by getting closer and causes the enamel to be damaged.
[0003] In the state of the art German Patent Application No DE10314590, in an oven, an electric heater element is disposed under the base wall of the oven casing and the heater element is carried by a carrier element mounted to the side walls of the oven casing with a gap there between.
[0004] The aim of the present invention is the realization of an oven wherein the heater is prevented from contacting the cooking chamber.
[0005] The oven realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention is explicated in the claims.
[0006] The oven comprises an oven casing wherein the cooking process is
performed, which is produced of steel sheet material and enameled, a heater mounted under the base wall of the oven casing by means of a heater tray, a support extension extending from the front side of the oven casing base wall to thereunder by bending and providing the heater tray to be mounted under the base wall, and a housing disposed between the support extension and the lower surface of the base wall.
[0007] The oven of the present invention comprises a hanger providing the heater tray to be mounted to the base wall by hanging, and formed by partially bending the front side of the heater tray upwards. The hanger comprises a body connected to the heater tray and at the end of the body, springs are disposed extending to the upper surface of the support extension and sitting in the housing by winding downwards.
[0008] When the heater heats up to high temperatures, the base wall of the oven casing being deformed by expanding, stretches the springs at the end of the hanger by applying pressure on the springs from above and pushes the hanger body whereto the springs are connected and the heater tray whereto the body is connected downwards. Thus, the heater is provided to be moved away from the deformed base wall.
[0009] The hanger furthermore comprises stoppers formed by the body being cut in the middle and bending (puncturing), and extending towards the underside of the support extension. In case the heater tray becomes deformed expanding by the effect of the heat, the stoppers prevent the hanger and therefore the heater tray and the heater from moving towards the base wall by bearing against the support extension from below.
[0010] The stoppers prevent the upwards movement of the hanger, while the springs on the hanger provide the hanger to stretch downwards, thus the heater is kept away from the base wall in the event of deformation of either the base wall or the heater tray.
[0011] The oven realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention is illustrated in the attached figures, where:
[0012] Figure 1 - is the perspective view of an oven.
[0013] Figure 2 - is the perspective view of an oven casing.
[0014] Figure 3 - is the schematic view of a heater tray mounted under an oven
casing by hanging. [0015] Figure 4 - is the schematic view of a heater tray mounted under an oven casing by hanging while the base wall is deformed by expanding with the heat.
[0016] Figure 5 - is the perspective view of a heater tray. [0017] Figure 6 - is the perspective view of a heater tray hanger. [0018] The elements illustrated in the figures are numbered as follows:
1 - Oven
2 - Oven casing
3 - Base wall
4 - Front wall
5 - Heater
6 - Heater tray
7 - Support extension
8 - Housing
9 - Hanger 10 - Body
11 - Spring
12 - Stopper
[0019] The oven (1) comprises an oven casing (2) wherein the cooking process is performed, a base wall (3) forming the lower portion of the oven casing (2), a frame-shaped front wall (4) surrounding the open front face of the oven casing (2), a heater (5) disposed at the underside of the base wall (3) without contacting the lower surface of the base wall (3) and a heater tray (6) mounted under the base wall (3), carrying the heater (5).
[0020] The oven casing (2) is preferably produced of steel sheet material and coated by enamel.
[0021] The oven (1) furthermore comprises a support extension (7) at the joint of the oven casing (2) and the front wall (4), extending from the front side of the base wall (3) to thereunder by bending and providing the heater tray (6) to be mounted under the base wall (3), and a housing (8) disposed between the support extension (7) and the lower surface of the base wall (3).
[0022] The oven (1) of the present invention comprises a hanger (9) providing the heater tray (6) to be mounted to the base wall (3) by hanging, having a body (10) that is formed by partially bending the side, preferably the front side of the heater tray (6) upwards, and one or more springs (11) extending from the end of the body (10) to the upper side of the support extension (7) and sitting in the housing (8) by winding downwards (Figure 3, 4, 5, 6).
[0023] When the heater (5) heats up to high temperatures, the base wall (3) being deformed by expanding, stretches the spring (11) inside the housing (8) by applying pressure on the upper side of the spring (11) and the body (10), whereto the spring (11) is connected, moves downwards. Thus, the hanger (9) pushes the heater tray (6) downwards, whereto the body (10) is connected, and the heater (5) is provided to be moved away from the deformed base wall (3) (Figure 4).
[0024] In the oven (1) of the present invention, the heater tray (6) is mounted to the under the base wall (3) by means of the hanger (9) extending preferably from the front side upwards and can spring downwards under the base wall (3) by means of the spring (11) sitting in the housing (8) at the upper end of the hanger (9) and sitting on the upper surface of the support extension (7) under the housing (8). The heater tray (6) moving downwards also moves the heater (5) secured therein downwards and the heater (5) is provided to be kept away from the base wall (3) being deformed by expanding such as collapsing downwards (cambering).
[0025] The hanger (9) furthermore comprises one or more stoppers (12) that are formed by the body (10) being cut in the middle and bending (puncturing), and extend towards the underside of the support extension (7), and in case the heater tray (6) becomes deformed by the effect of the heater (5), prevent the hanger (9) from moving towards the base wall (3) by bearing against the support extension (7) from below (Figure 3, 4, 6).
[0026] When the heater tray (6) becomes deformed by the effect of the high temperature, its middle portion collapses downwards (cambers); due to this movement, the sides of the heater tray (6) wind upwards and try to push the hanger (9) upwards towards the base wall (3). The stopper (12)
prevents the upwards movement of the hanger (9) towards the base wall (3) by bearing against the underside of the support extension (7). Since the movement of the hanger (9) towards the base wall (3) is prevented, the heater tray (6) is prevented from moving towards the base wall (3), thus the heater (5) is provided to be kept away from the base wall (3).
[0027] The hanger (9) holds the support extension (7) by tightening by means of the spring (11) extending to the upper side of the support extension (7) and the stopper (12) extending to the lower side. The stopper (12) prevents the upwards movement of the hanger (9), while the spring (11) provides the hanger (10) to stretch downwards, thus the heater (5) is kept away from the base wall (3) in the event of deformation of either the base wall (3) or the heater tray (6).
[0028] In an embodiment of the present invention, the hanger (9) comprises two separate springs (11) extending from the top of the body (10) to the upper side of the support extension (7) shaped like two ears, and two separate stoppers (12) under the springs (11), aligned at the same level as the springs (11), extending to the underside of the support extension (7) (Figure 6). In this embodiment, since the surfaces of the two springs (11) and the two stoppers (12) with small widths contacting the support extension (7) decreases, the heat transmission gets low and deformations are reduced. Furthermore, the hanger (9) is enabled to hold the support extension (7) in a balanced manner by means of two separate springs (11) from the upper side and two separate stoppers (12) from the lower side.
[0029] In the oven (1) of the present invention, when the heater (5) heats up to high temperatures during the pyrolytic cleaning process, in case the heater tray (6) or the base wall (3) of the oven casing (2) becomes deformed by expanding with high temperature, the heater (5) secured to the heater tray (6) is prevented from getting closer to the base wall (3) and damage is provided not to occur in the enamel coating of the oven casing (2).
