　表示品位を低下させることなく、低コストで白表示の輝度を向上させることが可能なマルチドメイン方式ＶＡモード液晶セル用の光学フィルムを提供する。 　透明高分子フィルム１１、偏光子１２および光学補償層１４が、この順序で積層されたマルチドメイン方式ＶＡモード液晶セルに用いられる光学フィルム１０であって、さらに、λ／４板１３を含み、前記λ／４板１３が、前記偏光子１２と前記光学補償層１４との間に配置され、前記偏光子１２の吸収軸と前記λ／４板１３の遅相軸とのなす角度が、４５±５度の範囲に設定されていることを特徴とする。
