Abstract

Since a light path of a light flux from an objective optical system is switchable from a normal light path (A) to an image light path (B) by a rotating mirror, a main operator (D1) can switchably view an optical image through the normal light path (A) and an electronic image through the image light path (B) while fixing his or her eye at an eyepiece (15). A zoom optical system (10) of the normal light path (A) is horizontally disposed, and a high-power light path (C) is formed horizontally outside the zoom optical system (10), thereby enabling a reduction in the vertical size of a microscope body and securement of a working space.
