　わずかな輝度ムラの発生さえも防止された偏光板を提供する。　透明保護フィルム１１、偏光子１２および光学補償層１３が、この順序で積層され、前記透明保護フィルム１１の透湿度と前記光学補償層１３の透湿度とが異なる偏光板１０であって、前記光学補償層１３が、ノルボルネン系樹脂、ポリビニルアセタール系樹脂、ポリエステル系樹脂、ポリプロピレン系樹脂、ポリカーボネート系樹脂およびアクリル系樹脂の少なくとも一つの樹脂を含む位相差フィルムであり、前記偏光板１０の水分率が、３％以下であることを特徴とする。
