Abstract

Disclosed is a plastic optical device material which is excellent in transparency and capable of maintaining its characteristics for a long time in various use environments. Also disclosed is a plastic optical device using such a plastic optical device material. Specifically disclosed is a plastic optical device material which is characterized by being a resin composition obtained by reacting at least one siloxane compound having one or more hydrogen atoms each bonded to a silicon atom in a molecule, at least one polycyclic hydrocarbon compound having a reactive group and an alicyclic hydrocarbon skeleton, and a polymerization curable composition containing at least one inorganic particle having a reactive group.
