Abstract

Chemical preparation for gradual removal of benign lesions and procedure of its application of the facial, head and body skin is the preparation based on formulation of a sintergetic mixture of the following chemical composition: 19.40-40.74% acetic acid, 3.15-7.43% nitric acid, 0.93-4.00% silver nitrate, 0.93-1.96% salicylic acid, 0-2,8% Mg2+, 0-2,3% Cu2+, 0-2,7% Fe3+, 0.5-6.2% dimethylgloxime, 0.3-17.2% trichloroacetic acid and 19.63-56.78% distilled water. The mixture obtained in this way is precisely applied using specially shaped glass microcapillary or similar specially designed device at the volume ranging between 1-10-6cm3 and 3-10-2cm3 on the benign lesion on the facial, head or body skin. The crust that will be formed within the following 72 hours in the treated site, which should not come into contact with water, will spontaneously fall-off within 10 to 40 days. After complete removal of the lesion the new skin will develop on the treated site and its color and appearance will become the same as color and appearance of the surrounding tissue with unnoticeable residual traces. Two months after treatment and falling-off of the last crust the treated site may be cared as all other facial, head and body skin areas using skin-care preparations.

Description

CHEMICAL PREPARATION FOR GRADUALLY REMOVING BENIGN
LESIONS
FIELD OF INVENTION The invention generally belongs to the field of preparations used for medical and cosmetic purposes. More pacifically, the preparation is intended for therapeutic, stomatological and hygienic purposes. According to the International Patent Classification (IPC)8 the field of the invention is itemized, that is, classified and marked with classification symbols: - A 61K 31/19: carboxylic acids, e.g. valproic acid (salicylic acid 31/60)
- A 61K 31/185: acids, their anhydrides, halogenides or salts, for example sulfuric acids, imido, peroxy acids 31/327...)
- A 61P 17/12: keratolytics, e.g. the preparations used against warts or horny growths.
TECHNICAL ISSUE
How to prepare the preparation and which application procedure should be used for removal of benign lesions from the facial, head and body skin by application of the formulated preparation on the lesions that should be removed?
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
It has been well known that tendency for removal of the skin lesions (molds, warts, keratoses, peduncular growths, age spots and sun spots, viral warts, etc.) has been present in our country and abroad for the last thirty years. In addition to surgical method, which is radical and includes removal of the benign growths using a scalpel with penetration into the subdermal tissue and extensive removal of the given tissue area which results in permanent scaring that is significantly larger than the lesion itself removed from the skin area, other methods were also developed for superficial removal of the lesions. The methods include laser and radiowave methods, as well as liquid nitrogen method, electrocautery and similar, which are widely applied.
Chemical methods for removal of the skin changes have been also used in the world. The preparations based on chemical components such as "Dermatend New Fast Acting Mole removal Kit" and "Wart Mole Vanish" are commercially available in the United States, and client uses the preparations him/herself until final removal of the lesion. Some of the preparations used for removal of growths are described in Patent No. 4,595,591 of June 17th, 1986, patented at the United States Patent Office under the name "Use of diluted nitric acid solutions for treating certain skin lesions". The patent states that chemical preparations may be used in cosmetic and medical purposes, as well as that they may be used, in addition to removal of benign growths for removal of certain types of malignant tumors.
The above US patent describes chemical preparations of different compositions that have been used for decades for different purposes as topical preparations, as well as for removal of the viral warts, moles and other skin changes. In spite of application of highly aggressive chemical that may induce major skin lesions when applied in large quantities, the same chemical, when applied in small quantities on the benign lesions has stimulatory effects on the skin reflected in epithelization of the treated site in absence of any traces or scars. Additionally, a number of other chemicals such as nitric acid, sulfuric acid, cadmium nitrate, sodium nitrate, copper, zinc, silver and magnesium ions, lactic acid, oxalic acid, diethyl oxalate, ethyl acetate, ethanol and numerous other chemicals have been studied. The investigations led to conclusion that treated lesions (viral warts, moles, keratoses and certain types of the malignant tumors) may be removed out of health care facilities without anesthesia using small quantities of chemical preparations by professionals trained on special facial-treatment courses (not necessarily physicians), as a cosmetic procedure that will result in falling-off of the crust from the treated site leaving the newly formed skin smooth and free of scar.
SUMMARY OF INVENTION
The invention is essentially aimed at preparation of the chemical preparation and its use for gradual, painless and bloodless removal of the benign lesions of the facial, head and body skin by its application on the desired sites without damaging of the surrounding tissue and almost without any traces.
The preparation prepared according to the procedure described herein for application and gradual removal of benign lesions from the facial, head and body skin differs from the above-mentioned chemical preparations in the background of invention in certain aspects, having the following advantages over them when applied for removal of the skin lesions:
1) The preparation comprises smaller number of components, which makes it simpler both with respect to preparation and effectiveness against the lesions that need to be removed. 2) The same volume of the foreign preparation sufficient for removal of two to three lesions may remove if the above-described preparation us used, significantly larger number of lesions.
3) Owing to the simplified application procedure, smaller number of components and easier application, price of the preparation for removal of benign lesions from the facial, head and body skin described herein would be significantly lower in comparison to the application of the foreign preparations.
4) The chemical preparation described herein is prepared using less complicated procedure in comparison to the foreign preparations, at room temperature, when chemical reactions are taking place during the preparation (which is not the case with foreign preparations), finished preparation may be immediately applied, it does not necessitate special storage conditions and its shelf life is almost unlimited.
5) Foreign preparations necessitate previous preparation of the lesion to be removed for which several enclosed devices are used, while application of the preparation described in this patent application necessitates only single device for application of the preparation for removal of benign lesions from the facial, head and body skin which should be cleansed before it (free of make-up, creams or skin care lotions). DETAILED DESCRIPTION
Chemical preparation for gradual removal of benign lesions is prepared in the following way: stoichiometric quantities of the individual components: 19.40-40.74% acetic acid, 3.15-7.43% nitric acid, 0.93-4.00% silver nitrate, 0.93-1.96% salicylic acid, 0-2,8% Mg2+, 0-2,3% Cu2+, 0-2,7% Fe3+, 0.5-6.2% dimethylgloxime, 0.3-17.2% trichloroacetic acid and 19.63-56.78% distilled water should be placed carefully into a vessel previously prepared for such purposes at room temperature and the obtained mixture it to be homogenized. Prepared preparation should be stored in tightly sealed glass container at room temperature protected from direct sunlight or heat source. Prepared preparation is applied by precise application with a glass microcapillary at the volume ranging between M0"6cm3 and 3-10"2cm3 on the benign lesion on the facial, head or body skin and placing the narrower end of the glass capillary on the surface of benign lesion. Other devices may be also used instead of the glass capillary (of different design and made of other materials - plastic, wood, etc.) for application of the preparation onto the lesion to be removed.
Application of the preparation for removal of benign lesions from the facial, head and body skin does not necessitate anesthesia since the procedure of application itself is painless (except for smarting, possible itching and mild redness that may last couple of minutes, no other manifestations are evidenced). Application of the preparation prepared in this way may be carried out only by specially trained person. Preparation of preparation for painless and bloodless removal of benign lesions from the facial, head and body skin includes precise application of the preparation on the surface of the lesion to be removed at the volume ranging between l-10'6cm3 and 3" 10"2cm3 . The application induces no mechanical injuries of the treated site but only the lesion itself absorbs the prepared preparation by the diffusion process both superficially and to the appropriate volume. The preparation applied on the treated lesion destroys benign cells immediately after application which is manifested by change of the color of the treated skim. The crust is formed on the treated site within the following 72 hours, which will spontaneously fall- off after epithelization of the new skin (depending on the type and dimension of the treated skin area the process will last ten to fourteen days at the average). The crust protects the teated site and enables skin regeneration since the treatment does not induce mechanical lesions of the cylindric cells found in the epiderm responsible for skin regeneration and thus new skin is formed free of any deformities, which is manifested after falling-off of the crust with smooth skin without scary tissue. In case of contact of the preparation with the healthy skin, rinse the affected site with water and the skin will be regenerated after certain period of time without any traces. After treatment with this preparation, the treated sites should not be exposed to water for 72 hours, and thereafter normal hygienic measures may be applied. Until spontaneous falling-off of the crust, caution is necessary in order to avoid forceful removal of the crusts and to enable for the treated site to assume appearance and color of the surrounding skin as soon as possible..
Chemical preparation for gradual removal of benign lesions is applied for the purpose of painless and bloodless removal of benign lesions from the facial, head and body skin. The lesions that may be removed with the method include all types of silent benign growths that do not bleed, which are not purulent and do not induce intensive itching sensation, without reddening of the healthy skin areas, which have not been injured within the previous three to six months (except for viral warts), which are not irritated in any way, which have not grown suddenly within the previous three to six months and whose pigmentation has not been changed. The lesions must not bee black, blue or mother-of- pearl colors, their margins must not be uneven or poorly defined and their color must not vary. The lesions that may be removed using the above preparation include:
Age spots and freckles developing as a consequence of excessive exposure to sun
All types of viral warts - Senile warts and keratoses (verrucae senilis)
Fatty accumulations around the eyes (xantilasys)
Punctiform fat accumulations on the face and the body (comedones)
All types of papillomas and fibromas (papilloma, fibroma pendulum molle and fibroma durum) - Condylomas (except on the mucosal membranes)
Neurofibromas
Wart-like growths on the face
Skin-colored nevi
Pigmented moles (naevus pigmentosus) - Moles with uneven surface (naevus pigmentosus papillomatosus)
Heary moles (naevus pigmentosus papillomatosus pilosus)
Keratoses (keratosis)
Seborrheic keratoses
Hemangiomas - Superficial capillaries in the form of thin red lines and meshworks
Bloody moles
Keloids developing as a result of other interventions on the skin
Horny growths
Uneven spots resulting from insect bites. Since the preparation is intended only for superficial use on the skin as well as that the procedure itself is painless and bloodless, that application procedure does not necessitate special conditions or anesthesia and the treated site does not need dressing (the crust must be exposed to air), and the treated person may perform his/her usual daily activities, the method of the application of the preparation described herein for removal of benign lesions from the facial, head and body skin, may be classified as cosmetic treatment.
In case of onset of itching, which is possible in small number of cases, or physiological reddening around the treated site, the crust and the surrounding tissue may be treated with some cream or ointment commonly used in such situations.
After falling-off of the crust, the color of the treated site will become the same as the color of the surrounding skin and it may be exposed to sun as generally recommended and treated with skin-care preparations. After treatment with the preparation, the lesions do not develop on the same place, except for minority of cases when hemangiomas, viral skin changes or the results of external influences (sun spots as a result of excessive exposure to sunlight) or genetic factors (age spots and keratoses) are in question and the treatment may be repeated after certain period of time in such cases..
