Abstract
A method for diagnosing paint of an automobile in which a coating agent application process is standardized to be determined from qualitative and quantitative viewpoints and a risk in a polishing process is reduced. The method for diagnosing paint of an automobile includes a process of measuring glossiness, a process of measuring surface roughness, a process of measuring film thickness, and a process of analyzing an image. Preferably, the process of measuring the glossiness, the process of measuring surface roughness, the process of measuring film thickness, and the process of analyzing an image are performed in this order. Further, the process of measuring glossiness is preferably a process of determining the degree of reflection when the surface is exposed to light from the ratio of the intensity of the reflected light from a measuring part and the reflected light from a luster standard plate.
