- the position of maximum feed of each of the three layers is defined by the wall 5.
- the separator surfaces 13A, 13B are moved from an idle position (indicated with a dashed line in Figure 4) to an operating position, shown with a solid line in Figure 4.
- the layer S2 is pushed by the bar 7C by means of the conveyor 7 onto the separator surface formed by the surfaces 13A, 13B moved towards each other, thereby preventing direct sliding of the layer S2 on the layer S1 below.
- the two conveyors 7, 9 move in synchronism, no sliding occurs between the two layers S2 and S3, and therefore no separator surface is required therebetween.
- the arrangement described above achieves the advantage of compacting the products P of the lower layer S1 and maintaining them in the ordered arrangement due to the fact that they are contained between the wall 5 and the compacting wall 11.
- the products P of the layer S1 are held by lateral walls 19A, 19B ( Figure 4).
- the products P of the layers S2, S3 above are retained laterally by containing walls 21 A, 21 B forming the continuation of the walls 19A, 19B.
- the walls 19A, 21 A and 19B, 21 B respectively can be mutually integral, i.e. formed only by two opposite walls, each suitably interrupted or slotted to allow passage of the separator elements or surfaces 13A, 13B.
- the separator elements or surfaces can have a comb structure to . penetrate through the lateral walls, which can therefore have a structural continuity between lower portion 19A, 19B and upper portion 21 A, 21 B.
- the conveyors 7, 9 can be controlled with an alternating movement so that the push bars 7C, 9B oscillate around the end position shown in Figure 3.
- these push bars 7C, 9B form a compacting element of the products P of the layers S1 , S2, S3 preventing the risk of accidental movement of the products P during the lifting steps towards the packaging position above.
- the push bar 7B acts as compacting element at the moment (shown in Figure 1) in which the layer S1 is lowered to the lower level ( Figure 2) in contact with the compacting wall 11.

Abstract
Le dispositif comprend les éléments suivants: surface d'empilement se mouvant dans une direction sensiblement verticale, sur laquelle sont disposées les couches (S1-S3) de produits superposés à conditionner; paire de bandes transporteuses (7, 9) sensiblement superposées, qui acheminent lesdites couches vers la surface d'empilement; paroi de tassement (11) positionnée de manière sensiblement perpendiculaire à la direction d'acheminement des bandes transporteuses, et au-dessous de ces dernières. Le mouvement d'abaissement de la surface mobile a pour effet d'amener la ou les couches déposées sur ladite surface grosso modo à la hauteur de la paroi de tassement, laquelle tasse les produits.
