Abstract
【課題】医薬、殊にインスリン分泌促進剤、糖尿病等のGPR40が関与する疾患の予防及び/又は治療剤として有用な化合物を提供する。 【解決手段】本発明者らは、GPR40受容体アゴニスト作用を有する化合物について検討し、チアゾリジンジオンが1つの炭素を介して6員単環芳香環と結合し、さらに該芳香環がリンカーを介して6員単環芳香環で置換されたベンゼンと結合していることを特徴とするチアゾリジンジオン化合物又はその塩が、優れたGPR40アゴニスト活性を有することを確認し、本発明を完成した。本発明のチアゾリジンジオン化合物は、インスリン分泌促進剤、糖尿病の予防及び/又は治療剤として使用しうる。
