Abstract

 混色光源からなるバックライト光源(22)の少なくとも一部にLED(22r、22g、22b)を用い、1フレーム期間内の所定期間だけ黒挿入を行う黒挿入表示を行うことが可能な表示装置であって、前記黒挿入表示を行わない第1の表示モードと、前記黒挿入表示を行う第2の表示モードとを備えており、前記第1の表示モードと前記第2の表示モードとで互いに、少なくとも1色の前記LED(22r、22g、22b)の駆動電流を異ならせる。これにより、黒挿入表示を行っても白表示の色味ずれを広く解消することのできる表示装置を実現する。
