Abstract

 組となる複数の映像データごとに信号電位の極性が反転し、各組の最初の映像データが書き込まれる画素を始端画素(例えば、P(5,1))、各組の末尾の映像データが書き込まれる画素を終端画素(例えば、P(4,1))、列方向に隣り合う終端画素および始端画素に対応して設けられた保持容量配線(例えば、CS5)を境界部保持容量配線として、列方向に隣り合う2つの画素に対応して設けられた保持容量配線であって境界部保持容量配線以外のもの(例えば、CS3)は、一方の画素P(2,1)への書き込み開始後、他方の画素P(3,1)への書き込み開始までに電位極性が反転しないが、境界部保持容量配線(例えば、CS5)は、終端画素P(4,1)への書き込み終了後、始端画素P(5,1)への書き込み開始までに電位極性が1回反転する。これにより、画素分割方式の液晶表示装置において、画素充電率の向上と表示のざらつき感の低減を実現する。
