Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé de diagnostic d'une défaillance du circuit EGR (20) d'un moteur comprenant un échangeur EGR (22), une vanne EGR (21 ), un conduit de dérivation (24) de l' échangeur EGR, et un volet (23a) dit de by-pass, disposé en amont de l' échangeur EGR (22) et du conduit de dérivation (24) de manière à réguler la proportion des gaz d'échappement passant dans ceux-ci, le circuit EGR (20) étant apte à être activé selon un mode dit refroidi, où le volet (23a) est fermé, et un mode dit by-pass, où le volet (23a) est ouvert. Ce procédé comprend une étape d'estimation de la température des gaz d'échappement (T.sEGRest_byp) à la sortie de l'enchangeur EGR (22) lorsque le circuit EGR (20) est en mode by-pass; cette température est comparée à deux seuils pour déterminer si la valve est bloquée en position by-pass ou refroidissement la température des gas EGR est estimée en calculant trois efficacités basées sur la température en entrée du circuit EGR, la température du fluide de refroidissement d l' échangeur EGR, la température en amont du circuit EGR et la température à l'entrée de l'enchangeur EGR.
