Abstract

BがU軸に近く、RがV軸に近いことに注目し、各色の向きに沿う色の調整パラメータの例を示すと、入力のVが負の範囲にある場合、Bの影響度は小さいことがわかり演算量削減のためB成分に関しては演算から省く。同様に、Bが正の範囲、Uが正の範囲、Uが負の範囲において影響度の小さい成分を省略すると、図に示される向きの調整パラメータAR、AG、ABが定義できる。入力のVが正の範囲にある場合には、ARを入力のVに乗算することによりV成分の調整を行うことができる。入力のVが負の範囲、Uが正の範囲、Uが負の範囲についても、それぞれ同様に処理することを考えると、RGBのそれぞれの調整パラメータの値を、1より大きく設定したり、1より小さく設定したりすることにより、輝度とは独立に、強弱させたい色成分の方向へUVの値を近づけるように色の濃淡を調整する色変換処理を行うことができる。これにより色変換における処理の負担を軽減することが可能になる。
