Abstract

 本発明は、線状導光体を精度良く容易に固定することが出来る薄い光学素子及びこの光学素子を用いた光ヘッドを提供する。このため、記録媒体の面の上で、前記面に沿って前記記録媒体と相対的に移動するスライダに搭載される光学素子において、光源から線状導光体が導いた光を透過する材料で形成され、前記線状導光体が配設される一方の端は開放され他方の端は閉じられ、搭載される前記スライダに対向する底面に開口している溝と、前記溝の前記他方の端から入射する前記線状導光体が導いた光を偏向する偏向面と、を備え、前記溝の他方の端は、斜面で構成され、前記斜面は、前記一方の端から前記他方の端の方向に進むに従って浅くなる前記溝の底を成している。
