Abstract

Provided is a forming apparatus capable of shaping a shaping object by an extroll-forming method and a draw bench method. On a platform, a driving device and a shaping stand having at least one pair of shaping rolls or at least one pair of shaping dies are arranged to confront each other. The driving device includes a drive rod moved by a drive source forward and backward to approach and leave the shaping stand and having a shaping object supporting mechanism at the leading end on the side of the shaping stand. By the shaping object supporting mechanism, a shaping object is pushed at its end on the side of the driving device so that the drive rod is moved in the direction toward the shaping stand thereby to push the shaping object into the clearance of the shaping rolls or the shaping dies. Alternatively, by the shaping object supporting mechanism, a shaping object is gripped at its end on the side of the driving device so that the drive rod is moved in the direction away from the shaping stand thereby to extract the shaping object from the clearance of the shaping rolls or the shaping dies.
