Abstract

A process by which a large amount of ceramic sheets can be produced while sufficiently inhibiting the occurrence of warpage, undulations, or the like. The process for ceramic sheet production comprises: a step in which ceramic green sheets and ceramic porous spacers are alternately superposed on a ceramic setter and a jig for burning is placed as a weight on the uppermost one of the sheets and spacers to give a stack; and a step in which the green sheets in the stack are burned to produce ceramic sheets. The process is characterized in that the jig for burning is a porous one which comprises at least one member selected from the group consisting of alumina, zirconia, mullite, and cordierite and has a static modulus in flexture as measured in accordance with JIS R1659 of 5-15 MPa.
