Abstract

　情報処理装置（１０）において給電を行なう給電部（１３）と、外部接続機器（１２）に接続可能な外部接続端子（１１）と、外部接続端子（１１）に接続された外部接続機器（１２）を制御する外部接続機器制御部（１４）と、情報処理装置（１０）が起動状態の場合には、外部接続端子（１１）に接続された外部接続機器（１２）に対して、給電部（１３）から外部接続機器制御部（１４）を介して給電を行なわせ、情報処理装置（１０）が休止状態の場合には、外部接続端子（１１）に接続された外部接続機器（１２）に対して、給電部（１３）から外部接続機器制御部（１４）をバイパスして給電を行なわせるように切替を行なう切替部（１７）とをそなえることにより、情報処理装置が休止状態であっても、外部接続機器に対する給電を省電力で行ない、利便性を向上させる。
