Abstract

La présente invention concerne un article absorbant contenant un substrat traité avec une composition décolorante qui peut retirer la coloration laissée par des exsudats corporels (par ex. du sang, du sang de menstruations, des matières fécales etc.). Plus spécifiquement, une zone limite située à la périphérie du substrat est traitée avec la composition décolorante. Ainsi, lorsque le substrat est incorporé à un article absorbant, la composition décolorante peut contribuer à retirer la coloration sur les bords de l'article où les fuites ont plus tendance à se produire. Une zone intérieure du substrat reste cependant sensiblement non traitée par la composition décolorante. Cela permet à un utilisateur d'observer et d'inspecter les exsudats corporels pour détecter les infections ou autres états pathologiques associés, et cela permet également à la composition décolorante d'être appliquée uniquement sur les parties du substrat qui en ont besoin pour obtenir l'effet souhaité de sorte que le zone non traitée peut continuer à remplir ses autres fonctions telles que l'absorption ou le drainage de liquides, etc.
