Abstract

A planar light-source driving circuit includes: a transformer having a secondary winding connected to both power terminals of a planar light source; a switching module connected to a primary winding of the transformer, including one or more switches and converting a voltage outputted from an input voltage source and a capacitor into a pulse form in accordance with on/off operations of the one or more switches; a diode module including one or more diodes connected in parallel with the respective one or more switches for soft switching and power recovery driving,' an inductor connected to one end of the primary winding of the transformer; and the capacitor connected between the inductor and a ground, and charged with a predetermined voltage.
