Abstract

At the starting time of an engine (3) and in a decision allowing state, a hybrid control unit (15) sets a motor generator (7) and a clutch (33) in uncoupled driving states. An internal resistance detecting unit (57) detects the internal resistance of a battery (9), and a battery temperature sensor (55) detects the environmental temperature. The hybrid control unit (15) decides the degree of deterioration of the battery (9) on the basis of the internal resistance detected by the internal resistance detecting unit (57) and the environmental temperature detected by the battery temperature sensor (55).
