Abstract

L'invention porte sur un appareil d'aérosol (1) qui comprend une unité de compresseur (3), un inhalateur de nébulisation (2) ayant une section d'entrée (4) connectée de façon fonctionnelle à l'unité de compresseur (3) pour recevoir de l'air comprimé et une section de sortie (5) pour libérer un produit médicinal à l'environnement extérieur après qu'il a été nébulisé par l'air comprimé dans l'inhalateur (2), et un filtre (10) situé entre l'unité de compresseur (3) et la section d'entrée (4) de l'inhalateur (2) pour filtrer l'air comprimé. Des appareils d'aérosol de l'état antérieur de la technique n'ont pas de systèmes filtrants pour nettoyer l'air circulant hors du compresseur mais uniquement des filtres qui nettoient l'air circulant à l'intérieur du compresseur. Ceci veut dire qu'il existe un risque que le patient inhale des substances non souhaitées ou potentiellement nuisibles (telles que des particules ou de la poussière produite par usure des parties mobiles, du compresseur ou des corps externes, aspirées de l'extérieur et non retenues par le filtre d'entrée) transportées vers l'inhalateur par l'écoulement d'air comprimé, et provenant, par exemple, de l'intérieur de l'unité de compresseur elle-même.
