Abstract

An airbag device has an airbag (2) for restraining an occupant in a vehicle when inflated, a substantially rectangular parallelepiped-shaped airbag case (3) having a substantially rectangular board (31) and containing the airbag (2) in an inflatable state, an inflator (4) provided on the board (31) and ejecting gas for inflating the airbag (2), and four bolts (52) for fastening the airbag (2) to the board (31) such that the airbag (2) covers the inflator (4). The bolts (52) are arranged in the long-side direction and the short-side direction of the board (31), and the distance between the bolts (52) at opposite ends in the long-side direction is set greater than the distance between the bolts (52) at opposite ends in the short-side direction.
