Abstract

A contact housing (1) for an electrical plug connection comprises a plurality of contact chambers (2) for each holding a contact body (4) which can be inserted into the contact chamber (2) through a fitting opening (3), in each case one latching arm (5), which projects at the side into the contact chambers (2), and can be deflected elastically, for primary latching of the contact body (4) which is inserted into the contact chambers (2) as far as its final position, and at least one base plate (6) which has an insertion opening (15) for each contact chamber (2), for insertion of an opposing contact into the inserted contact body (4). According to the invention, the at least one base plate (6) for each contact chamber (2) in each case has at least one projection (16) which forms a wall section of the contact chamber (2), on the chamber side of the latching arm (5).
