Abstract

A composite material suitable for practical use which is satisfactorily improved in interlaminar shear strength and compressive strength as compared with conventional composite materials, specifically, a composite material produced by laminating alternately prepreg sheets (5) prepared by impregnating either an unidirectional fibrous body (3) prepared by arranging in parallel carbon fiber rovings (2) composed of sized carbon filaments (1) or a fabric woven by using the carbon fiber rovings (2) as the warp and the weft with a curable matrix resin (4) and resin sheets (6) made of a curable resin, wherein cup stack type CNTs (7) are dispersed inthe matrix resin (4) of the prepreg sheets (5) and the curable resin of the resin sheets (6).
