Abstract

　プラズマディスプレイパネルは、放電空間を介して互いに対向する第１および第２基板を有している。第１基板上には、第１方向に延在し、間隔を置いて配置された第１および第２電極が設けられている。また、第１および第２電極を覆う誘電体層上には、隔壁に対向する位置に配置された複数のアドレス電極が設けられている。そして、アドレス電極および誘電体層上には、誘電体層およびアドレス電極を覆い、セルの放電空間に露出された保護層が直接形成されている。例えば、アドレス電極の幅は、誘電体層側から隔壁側に向かうにつれて狭くなる。これにより、アドレス電極を損傷させることなく、低い駆動電圧でＸ、Ｙ電極間の放電を発生させることができる。
