Abstract

プラズマディスプレイパネルの駆動方法及びプラズマディスプレイ装置において、表示映像(表示データ)の内容に応じて、従来よりもアドレス電力制御を効率的に行ってアドレス電力を削減することを課題とする。アドレス電力回収回路として、表示領域(R)及びアドレス電極群を水平方向で複数(n)に分割する領域(H1~Hn)に対応して、複数(n)のアドレス電力回収回路(B1~Bn)を備え、各アドレス電力回収回路(B)が担当する領域(H)毎かつサブフィールド毎に、当該領域(H)に対するアドレスパルススイッチング負荷(Q)を判定し、当該負荷(Q)の大小に応じて当該アドレス電力回収回路(B)動作をON/OFF制御する。
