Abstract

Um eine Vorrichtung zum Umrichten eines elektrischen Stromes oder zum Bilden einer elektrischen Spannung mit in Reihe geschalteten Halbleitermodulen (1), die wenigstens einen ansteuerbaren Leistungshalbleiter (3) aufweisen, einer auf dem Potential eines der Halbleitermodule (1) liegenden Hochspannungssteuerungseinheit und einer Erdpotential nahen Niederspannungssteuerungseinheit, die mittels wenigstens eines Lichtwellenleiters (17, 18) mit der Hochspannungssteuerungseinheit verbunden ist bereitzustellen, die sicher, aufwandsarm und kostengünstig ist, wird vorgeschlagen, dass die Hochspannungssteuerungseinheit eine Hochspannungsschnittstelle (7) aufweist, die auf dem Potential eines der Halbleitermodule (1) liegt und über Signalleitungen (10, 11, 12, 13, 14) mit wenigstens zwei ansteuerbaren Leistungshalbleitern (3) verbunden ist, wobei die Hochspannungsschnittstelle über wenigstens einen der besagten Lichtwellenleiter (17, 18) mit der Niederspannungssteuerungseinheit verbunden ist.
