Abstract

ナビゲーション装置は、経路計算用情報を用いて、ユーザにより入力された出発地から目的地までのナビ経路を探索し、ナビ経路に関する情報、出発地及び目的地を含む探索結果情報をサーバへ送信する。サーバは、取得した探索結果情報及び予め保有している道路交通情報に基づいて、出発地から目的地までのサーバ経路を探索する。さらに、サーバは、サーバ経路とナビ経路のいずれか一方を選択し、選択した経路がサーバ経路である場合にサーバ経路情報をナビゲーション装置へ送信する。これによれば、ナビゲーション装置は、サーバが選択した適切な経路を利用して車両の誘導案内等を行うことが可能となる。
