Definitions

  • the present invention concerns an apparatus and a method for preventing pubic hairs to attach to a self-adhesive condom or uridom.
  • the apparatus include a flexible or soft plate with a hole and a collar that forms an extension and surrounds the hole, adapted to extend at a distance out from the root of a penis.
  • Self-adhesive uridoms of this kind are typically used by male users with incontinence problems or users that are prevented from urinating for instance sailplane pilots, racing car drivers or users with a physical handicap.
  • the uridom includes a condom-shaped body with an attachment part at the end for connection to a hose or line that can be led to a suitable bag or container for receiving urine.
  • the uridom looks like a condom and is fitted in the same way as the condom. Uridoms of this kind are well known within the field. It is however a problem that pubic hair frequently gets in between the penis and the uridom and this can be both painful and can lead to improper sealing between the penis and the uridom. This is particularly problematic as uridoms of this kind normally, as mentioned, are self-adhesive, with adhesive at the inside. Users of this kind of devices also frequently have motoric problems and handicaps, with reduced motoric precision in the hands/fingers, and this makes the situation even more difficult. The adhesive at the inside of the uridom easily sticks to the hair around the penis/scrotum and the inside of the thighs when it is to be attached to the penis.

The plate is folded around the penis before use.
