Abstract

A graphite composite film for use as a heat dissipation member in, e.g., electronic appliances and precision apparatuses, in particular, a graphite composite film having flame retardancy imparted thereto without impairing radiating properties. The graphite composite film having flame retardancy is produced based on contrivances, e.g., by limiting the degree of flame retardancy and thickness of a composite with the heat-transporting ability of a graphite film. The graphite composite film comprises a graphite film and a material having a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, and is characterized in that the graphite film has a thermal conductivity of 200 W/mK or higher and that the ratio of the product of the thickness (TG) of the graphite film and the thermal conductivity (λG) thereof, TG λG, to the thickness (TA) of the material having a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, TG λG/TA, is from 150 to 300,000.
