Abstract

Die Erfindung beschreibt eine Absperrvorrichtung (1), insbesondere ein Fußventil (2) für einen Hydrant (3), mit einem einen Strömungskanal für ein Medium ausbildenden rohrförmigen Gehäuse (12) mit Anschlussmitteln für ein Zuleitungsrohr und für eine Hydrantensäule (4). In dieser ist eine Stellvorrichtung (8), für ein im Gehäuse (12) in einer Führungsanordnung gegen einen einen Einströmquerschnitt umfassenden Dichtansatz (20) verstellbares Kugeldichtelement (15) angeordnet. Auf einem dem Kugeldichtelement (15) zugewandtem Ende (16) eines verdrehgesicherten, linear verstellbaren Schubrohres (11) der Stellvorrichtung (8) ist ein das Kugeldichtelement (15) entgegen einer Durchströmrichtung des Mediums mit einer Schließkraft beaufschlagendes, das Kugeldichtelement (15) bereichsweise umfassendes und im Strömungskanal koaxial zentrierendes käfigartiges Stellmittel (17) angeordnet.
