Abstract

 受光素子での受光効率を向上させて、受光素子が薄膜化されても十分な受光感度を有した画像取り込みが可能な液晶表示素子、およびこれを用いた液晶表示装置を提供する。基板(3)と、前記基板(3)上に第1の絶縁層(41)を介して設けられた受光素子(7)と、前記受光素子(7)上に設けられた第2の絶縁層(44)を介して設けられた反射電極(28)とを備えた受光素子内蔵型の液晶表示素子(1)であって、前記受光素子(7)の受光領域(50)は、前記基板(3)の主面方向において前記反射電極(28)と重ならない位置に設けられ、前記反射電極(28)の前記受光素子(7)側の端部に、前記受光素子(7)から遠ざかる方向に傾斜した傾斜部が設けられている。
