Abstract

An MH tank module (13) is equipped with a cylindrical porous member (14). This porous member (14) is constituted as a hydrogen flowing passage (15) for allowing hydrogen to flow therethrough, and has linearly extending grooves formed in its outer circumference. To the porous member (14), there are attached a plurality of fins (17), each of which has its first end portion and second end portion individually fitted in the different grooves. A plurality of storage chambers (19) for containing MG powder (P) are defined by the fins (17), and the MH tank modules (13) are so housed in a housing (12) as are adjacent to each other thereby to form a predetermined shape. Heating medium pipes (22a and 22b) are so arranged in the housing (12) as correspond to the individual storage chambers (19) while contacting the fins (17), and the heating medium flows in the heating medium pipes (22a and 22b). Thus, there is provided a hydrogen gas storing device, which can increase its mountable place easily and which can simplify its mounting work.
