Abstract

　画像処理装置（１）は、一連の観察画像のうちの処理対象画像に撮像された観察対象の種類を判定する臓器判定部（４ａ）と、観察画像が撮像されたときの撮像距離を推定する撮像距離推定部（４ｂ）と、異常検出パラメータを用いて処理対象画像内から特異な領域である異常領域を検出する異常領域検出部（４ｃ）と、臓器判定部（４ａ）の判定結果と撮像距離推定部（４ｂ）の推定結果とに対応するパラメータ値を異常検出パラメータとして設定し、異常領域検出部（４ｃ）にこの異常検出パラメータを用いて異常領域を検出させる画像処理制御部（６ａ）と、を備える。
