Abstract

　磁気ディスク１０３の表面に沿って相対移動し、その表面に記録対象の情報に応じた磁化を形成する記録ヘッド３０において、記録対象の情報を２進数の形式で表した、その２進数中での「０」の連続数であるランレングスが所定の上限数以下に制限されたランレングス制限符号に従って変調された記録電流の供給を受けてその記録電流に応じた磁界を発生するコイル３１２と、コイル３１２内を通って延びて端部の主磁極３１２ａが磁気ディスク１０３の表面に対向し、そのコイル３１２で発生される磁界を導いて主磁極３１２ａから磁気ディスク１０３へと印加することで磁化を形成する、その磁化が並ぶ方向における主磁極３１２ａの長さが上記上限数に相当する長さとなっている磁心３１２とを備えた。
