Abstract

The invention relates to a transport and storage container for the transport and provision of objects. Said container has a base panel (1), a first end wall (2) lying opposite a second end wall (3), a rear wall (4), a front wall lying opposite the rear wall and a lid (7) lying opposite the base. According to the invention, the outer dimensions of the container, when empty, can be reduced by at least the partial pivoting of the walls in relation to one another, at least the end walls and the rear wall are connected to the base panel by hinges and the lid is held in a pivoting manner on the upper longitudinal edge of the rear wall, in such a way that at least part of the outer face of said lid rests on the outer face of the rear wall. Such a transport container is described in DE 10 2004 060 400 A1. Such transport containers have proven themselves in use, since they can be folded to a compact size after emptying to then transport them. These containers have very different outer dimensions; the folding to a compact size is always problematic when such containers have a height of the pivotally connected to the bottom plate rear wall, which is greater than the corresponding dimension of the bottom plate and the lid, since in such a case, the folded over to the back cover over the basic dimension of the container protrudes. The first cover part can be held by a stop in the plane of the rear wall aligned against further pivoting. Such a stop can for example be formed by the respective end edge of the rear side wall on the one hand and this first cover part on the other.

The height of the back wall and the height of the first lid portion aligned in the plane of the back wall should be equal to or greater than the width, perpendicular to the hinges of the lid portions, of the second lid portion. With this dimensioning ensures that the basic size of the transport and storage container is maintained.

In order to have sufficient space to fold the two end walls onto the floor surface, the pivot axis of the back wall should be located at the upper edge of a fixed portion of the back wall connected to the floor panel.

The front side wall of the transport and storage container may be divided into a first and a second door leaf, in order to make the interior of the container in order to empty this, easily accessible.

Here, the first door should be pivotally held with the perpendicular side edge of the first end wall so that the first door hangs on the inside of the first end wall. The transport container, as shown in the figures, in particular in the figure 1, in a perspective, schematic representation, has a bottom plate 1, a first end wall 2, a second end wall 3, a rear wall 4, a first and a second door 5 , 6 and a cover 7.

The bottom plate 1 has at the bottom in each case in the corners of feet 8 such that the bottom plate 1 is held with a sufficient distance above a floor to accommodate the transport and storage container with a mobile stacker and can settle.
