Abstract

An analog multiplexer with an insulation power supply which can perform high precision analog data collection easily even in case of high density placement and routing without requiring a shield surrounding the entire transformer. The analog multiplexer comprises an analog signal transformer having a primary winding for receiving an analog signal via an FET and a secondary winding for generating a pulse having the amplitude of the analog signal by driving the FET on/off, a drive transformer having a primary winding for receiving a drive pulse via an FET and a secondary winding generating a pulse for turning the FET on/off, a circuit for generating an inhibit pulse having a pulse width wider than that of the drive pulse, an AND gate for taking logical product of continuous pulse and inhibit pulse from a continuous pulse generation circuit to obtain a pulse train for power supply, and a rectifying/smoothing circuit for obtaining a DC voltage depending on the pulse train for power supply and applying a DC voltage to the primary winding of the transformer via a high resistance.
